Parent Group Member Inheritance
Subgroups can now automatically inherit members from their parent Group. When enabled, members added to a parent Group are automatically synced to all subgroups. We’ve made significant improvements to how user roles are managed with LMS integrations:- Unlink roles from LMS: Instructors can now unlink a user’s role from LMS sync, preventing automatic role changes during future syncs. Unlinked roles display an “Unlinked” badge and can be re-linked at any time.

- Automatic member removal: Users removed from the LMS course roster are now automatically removed from the corresponding Nectir AI Group during roster sync.

When web search is used, the sources (URLs) are displayed alongside training data sources, allowing users to verify the information.
Unlink LMS Integration
You can now unlink LMS integrations from Groups when they’re no longer needed. In Group Settings → LMS Integration, click Unlink on any connected course to permanently disconnect it from Nectir. Group members remain unchanged after unlinking.

Source Attribution Now Available for All Users
The “Show Sources” feature is now available to all users. When enabled, Assistants display the training data sources used when generating responses, providing transparency and allowing students to verify the materials supporting AI-generated content. Group Nesting

AI Model Updates
We’ve upgraded our AI models to the latest versions for improved performance and capabilities. All Assistants have been automatically migrated to GPT-4.1 (from GPT-4o) and Claude Sonnet 4 (from Claude Sonnet 3.5).
